Prolific Women

At the risk of someone calling Social Services over the first image on this post, rest assured, no babes were harmed in the making of this blog.....River loves being swung upside-down, and it just made for a kind of funny image (out of which I ended up making a card for those who had been there.)
Once a year a group of my girlfriends converge on a rental house with babes in tow to just chill out, get sand between our toes and let the kids run (relatively) free. It is a very cool thing, as somehow, even with all the kids (we lost count), everyone gets taken care of and the kids even kind of create their own little tribe. (Lord of the Flies without the brutality.....or maybe we just haven't stayed long enough for it to play itself out!?).
I'm a huge fan of these long weekends, and really look forward to them every year. One is with a group of friends where we bring our kids, and the other is with a different group of friends where it's just us women only. Either way, I highly encourage every groovy girl out there to create her own tribe and make it happen once a year - if you shop around and ask around, you can do it on the cheap by the time you divide it up...Get creative!
And yes, it is as chaotic as it looks. It is real, and it's a blast (if you aren't OC). And thank you Sherri (or did JuJu take that one??) for the pic of Eva and I....I am never actually in any pictures!!
